Advantages of SAE-1GA

High Current Capacity
1-gauge cables have a large wire diameter, meaning they can carry a significant amount of electrical current with minimal voltage drop. This is crucial for starting larger vehicles or those with depleted batteries, as it ensures a faster and more reliable jump start.

Low Resistance
The thicker wire reduces resistance, which minimizes energy loss during the jump-starting process and allows for more efficient power transfer.

Cold Weather Performance

Heavy-duty cables, like those made of 1-gauge wire, tend to remain flexible even in freezing temperatures, making them reliable for use in cold climates where batteries are more likely to fail.

Durable Construction

1GA booster cables are often constructed with high-quality materials, including heavy-duty insulation and robust clamps, to withstand the rigors of use and ensure a long lifespan.

Secure Connections

The clamps on these cables are designed for a strong grip on battery terminals, minimizing the risk of loose connections and ensuring optimal power transfer.

Versatile Use

While ideal for larger vehicles, 1-gauge cables can also be used effectively on smaller cars and trucks, providing a reliable jump-starting solution for various vehicle types.

Advantages of SAE-10GA

01/

Affordability: 10-gauge cables are typically the least expensive option, making them a budget-friendly choice.

02/

Portability and storage: Being thinner and lighter, 10-gauge cables are easier to store in a compact space, like a car trunk.

03/

Suitability for small vehicles: These cables are well-suited for jumpstarting small or compact cars with smaller engines, such as those with 4-cylinder engines.

04/

Adequate for slightly low batteries: If the battery is only slightly low and just needs a boost to start, 10-gauge cables can effectively transfer the necessary current, particularly in normal temperatures.

How to Choose the Right Booster Cables

Wire gauge
The thickness of a booster cable is called the gauge, and it can range between 1 and 12. The thicker the wire, the lower the gauge number. A 1-gauge is therefore a heavy-duty wire that will transfer more power faster. Thinner cables are cheaper, but you sacrifice power delivery with a higher gauge.

Cable insulation
The insulation serves to protect your hands from the current moving through the cables. It also prevents your car and the car giving yours a boost from being damaged.
For colder climates, you’ll want to purchase heavily insulated booster cables because cables can become brittle as temperatures drop, creating the risk of wires snapping as you uncoil the cables from their pouch.

Length
Length is another important factor when deciding what booster cables to purchase because you never know what position your vehicle will be in when the battery dies. Ten-foot cables are the best choice for two vehicles facing each other.
For the most part, anything shorter than 10 feet will only work if the vehicles’ bumpers are touching. So, when purchasing a set of booster cables, longer is better. Ideally, you want cables that are 10–15 feet long. They should help in most situations.

Heavy-duty clamps
The best clamps are made of copper or copper-plated, because copper is a great conductor of electricity. Fully copper clamps will ensure optimal conduction between cables and battery, but they’re usually more expensive. The copper-plated variety has an aluminum or steel core, which lowers the price but also the level of conduction.
You should also ensure that the rubber or vinyl grips on the clamps are thick. They’re intended to protect you from getting electrocuted, so it’s important to check for wear.

FAQ

Q: Do you have a minimum order quantity?

A: Yes, we require all international orders to have an ongoing minimum order quantity. If you are looking to resell but in much smaller quantities, we recommend you check out our website

Q: Can you supply the relevant documentation?

A: Yes, we can provide most documentation including Certificates of Analysis / Conformance; Insurance; Origin, and other export documents where required.

Q: What is the average lead time?

A: For samples, the lead time is about 7 days. For mass production, the lead time is 20-30 days after receiving the deposit payment. The lead times become effective when (1) we have received your deposit, and (2) we have your final approval for your products. If our lead times do not work with your deadline, please go over your requirements with your sale. In all cases we will try to accommodate your needs. In most cases we are able to do so.

Q: What kinds of payment methods do you accept?

A: You can make the payment to our bank account, Western Union or PayPal: 30% deposit in advance, 70% balance against the copy of B/L.

Q: What is the product warranty?

A: We warranty our materials and workmanship. Our commitment is to your satisfaction with our products. In warranty or not, it is the culture of our company to address and resolve all customer issues to everyone's satisfaction.

Q: Do you guarantee safe and secure delivery of products?

A: Yes, we always use high quality export packaging. We also use specialized hazard packing for dangerous goods and validated cold storage shippers for temperature sensitive items. Specialist packaging and non-standard packing requirements may incur an additional charge.

Q: What wire is used in booster cables?

A: These are high quality cables, they have copper wire instead of aluminum like most other cables. That makes them more expensive and heavier, but when you are trying to boost a seriously dead car or truck at -30C this is what you need.

Q: What are the ends of booster cables called?

A: Jumper Cable Ends. Jumper cable ends, also known as booster cable ends or battery cable clamps, are the metal clamps at the ends of jumper cables that are used to jump-start a vehicle with a dead battery.

Q: What is the sequence of booster cables?

A: 1) Connect a red jumper cable clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the dead battery. 2) Connect the other red cable clamp to the positive (+) terminal of the working battery. 3) Connect a black cable clamp to the negative (-) terminal of the working battery.

Q: Which is positive and negative on jumper cables?

A: On jumper cables, the red clamp is positive, and the black clamp is negative. It is crucial to attach the red clamp to the positive terminal of both batteries and the black clamp to the negative terminal of the working battery and a grounding point on the dead battery's car chassis.
